11 Dating and Relationship Podcasts if You're Single, Committed, or Just ~Love~ Love

Podcasts have unequivocally become one of my main sources of excitement recently. Like, no matter what beat you’re searching for, I could bet there’s a podcast out there that comes close to covering any type of subject (think: true crime, inspirational, fitness, money, and literally everything in between). And honestly, they slay.

Now for me personally, I have a thing for any sex or dating podcast. It’s a great way for me to just sit back, breathe, and for once, not be completely consumed by my own dating life—and instead, other people’s.

What’s even better: For those of you who are actively looking to improve your relationship status, some of these podcasts even offer up super solid advice for free99.

So regardless of what you’re looking for, start by giving these 11 dating and relationship podcast options a listen. Trust me, this stuff is heavily, heavily therapeutic in whatever way you need it to be.

3. Why Won’t You Date Me with Nicole Byer

Nicole Byer is smart, funny, and…chronically single. In an effort to get to the bottom of her lack of love, Nicole invites fellow comedians, friends, and former flings (think: Whitney Cummings, Erika Lust, Alice Wetterlund) on the show to weigh-in on their dating lives and try to make sense of her own. You will laugh (Nicole is hilarious), but also may find yourself awake at 2 a.m. reassessing your entire dating app experience.

4. Breakup BOOST

Helpful Tip: Instead of texting your ex and receiving a subpar response (or worse, no response at all), download this podcast. The host Trina Leckie is a certified breakup coach and will help you unpack that heartbreak. Expect some straightforward guidance and tips though, there’s no sugar-coating here. So whether you want to stay “friends” with your ex or just feel guilty for ending a relationship, the podcast doesn’t shy away from even the most cringe-worthy breakups.

5. Dear Sugars

Originally what started as a column with a devoted cult following, Dear Sugars entered the podcast scene in 2017. Cohosts Cheryl Strayed and Steve Almond’s voices are literally so soothing that just listening to them talk is therapy for your ears. Plus: Their “radically empathic advice” will heal even the most heartsick. Come for the acclaimed guests (hi, Oprah!) and stay for the powerful relationship lessons.

6. The Viall Files

If being on The Bachelorette, The Bachelor, and Bachelor in Paradise is enough dating experience to warrant starting your own podcast, then Bachelor Nation’s Nick Viall has certainly earned his place. Listeners can call in for “Questions With Nick” on Mondays or tune in on Wednesdays for interviews with some seriously thought-provoking guests. I highly recommend it for fans of The Bachelor, as season favorites often stop by to give some BTS gossip from the show. (Like, remember when Nick totally shaded Madison?)

7. Anna Faris Is Unqualified

Sure, Anna Faris is no love guru exactly…but damn is this podcast entertaining. Each episode starts off with an interview with a celeb guest, then transitions to a call-in relationship Q&A. And while we don’t recommend taking all their advice (Lol, seriously, don’t), the show’s combo of humor and advice will make you feel like you’re basically Anna’s bestie.

Ahh, young love. What used to be so sweet and cute can sometimes turn into an actually horrific, challenging, and gut-wrenching journey. The good news: Hosts Chase and Sarah Kosterlitz don’t want all relationships to manifest that way. They help young couples create life-long love with an earnest, but honest approach of guidance and advice. Download now if you need some tips, tricks, or inspiration.

9. Modern Love

Let’s just say that Amazon Prime Video adapted this popular New York Times column for a reason. Modern Love shares heart-wrenching, uplifting, and honest essays read by notable actors like Normal People’s Daisy Edgar-Jones and Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe. Their latest episode, Alone In A Pandemic, offers a very real and relevant look at quarantining by yourself.

If you’re searching for some pragmatic, humorous, and sometimes-graphic advice, right this way.
